Quit your job and go traveling :)

We decided to take the country way back to Germany.
There are many interessting country we never have benn before....  So Albania / Montenegro / Bosnia / Croatia /.....

We entschlossen uns den Landweg zurück nach Deutschland zu nehmen. Wir müssen durch viele interessante Länder durch, die man sonst nur vom Namen kennt. Könnte spannend werden ;)... Albanien / Montenegro / Bosnien / Kroatien usw....

A little bit nervous we are standing in front of the boarder of albania. The internet ist full of stories from people they got problems, other ones telling its easy and not a problem at all...

Ein bisschen nervös standen wir also schon bald an der albanischen Grenze. Das Internet ist voll von Reiseberichte, die das schlimmste berichten, Andere dagegen erzählen es war überhaupt kein Problem. Dementsprechend erwarteten wir alles oder nix ;)

 

But after 5min, password and car paper check we are in.

Aber nach 5 min Pass und Autopapier kontrollieren, sind wir drinnen.

The streets are ok ( at least at this moment ;) ), we are already hard driver ;). And we booked a appartment for the first night. 15euro in middle of a big holiday city ( Ksamil ) with beaches... nice nice. But full of people! After the wildness of greek we are not anymore used about this full small places..... lets see.... The dinner we ate in a restaurant.. Doner and big beers for 6 euro for two persons....

Die Strassen sind eigentlich ziemlich ok ( zumindest für den ersten Moment ;) )... wir sind schon an viel schlimmeres gewöhnt in Italien :P. Für die erste Nacht haben wir ein Appartment für 15Euro gebucht. Mitten in einer Urlaubsstadt Ksamil. Da kann man nichts motzen ;). Aber nach der Weite Griechenlands ist hier doch alles voll. Liegestuhl an Liegestuhl, Hotel an Hotel. Und jede Menge Menschen.... Mal schauen wie es weiter geht... Das Abendessen im albanischen Restaurant hat uns zu Zweit 6 Euro gekostet und hat echt lecker geschmeckt.. Hiihii.... Die Preise überzeugen ;)

 Nachdem die Tage inzwischen sehr sehr heiss sind, haben wir uns nun entschlossen unseren Plan "Richtung Süden" zu ändern und unsere neues Ziel heisst nun "Richtung Norden" :). Die Sommer-Touristen kommen, die Plätze werden voller und voller und die Polizei lässt uns arme Wildcamper nicht mehr überall campen wo wir wollen...

After the days are getting really really hot now we decided to leave our plan
"direction south " 
and starting to going back to north ;) ... The summer tourists are coming and the police are not anymore so friendly for camping wild.

Da wir inzwischen eine Liste haben, wie wir den Bus innen noch etwas anpassen können und viiieell zu viieeelll Gepäck dabei haben... haben wir uns entschlossen einen kleinen Heimaturlaub einzulegen, bevor es danach heisst auf nach Norden.

Heute also, haben wir nach fast zwei Monaten Griechenland verlassen!!

Wir schauen zurück auf ein wundervolle Land mit vielen tollen Plätzen und Aktivitäten

( Fotos von den letzten zwei Wochen... leider gibt es dazu kein Schreiben :P ... ich muss mein System reorganisieren... das funktioniert so nicht.... )

Further now we have already a bucket list what to do with the inside life of our bus and we want drop off some ballast :).

So yeah, we decided to go for a vaction at home.

Today, after two months, we left Greece.

We look back on a wonderful country with many great places and activities. We will certainly come back ( maybe not in the high season ;) )....

Und schliesslich die letzte Nacht und der letzte Morgen bevor wir Griechenland verlassen

And the last night before we will leave greek

 

 

 

 

Wir campten auf einer kleinen Halbinsel direkt am Meer. Näher am Meer geht wirklich nicht mehr ;) .... ( ich habe abends sogar noch etwas umgeparkt, weil ich Angst hatte die Wellen gehen unter unser Auto durch nachdem das Wasser immer höher stieg :P )....

We parked on a small peninsula directly be the sea. In fact so near or the shore, that we had to drive a bit back in the evening, as the sea was rising.

 Da wir die letzten Tag ziemlich aktiv unterwegs waren, beschlossen wir uns es etwas ruhiger anzugehen. Nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück packen wir unser Kanu aus und drehen eine Runde im Golf, in der Hoffnung auf Delfine zu stossen... die es dort angebliche geben soll....

Due the activity of the last days, we decided to have it a bit more quite today. After a large breakfast with tasty pancakes we made a round trip in our canoe on the golf, looking for dolphins. This time, the expedition was less successful, but the trip was really nice.

"Wir" ... also ich eher weniger ;) .... paddeln zu einer Insel bei der wir uns ein kleines Bad bzw eine kleine Mittagspause gönnen...

The canoe had the Jack-Engine installed, so most of the time, I could sit in the front, relaxing. On one of the small islands, we enjoyed a swim, a nap and lunch.

 Der nächste Tag begann, wie der letzte aufgehört hat... RELLAXEEENN
The next day started with some more relaxation.

 

Gegen Mittag wieder eine kleine Runde mit dem Kanu. Diesmal fuhren wir auf das Meer hinaus, doch dann kam Wind auf und ziemlich hohe Wellen.... Wir wussten nicht ob wir es aussen rum wieder zurück schaffen, also mussten wir das Kanu durch Gebüsch schleppen um zu einem in der Mitte liegenden See zu gelangen. Da konnten wir dann nach Hause paddeln.. puhhhhh..... Leider hat das Kanu durch das ganze Geschleppe einen kleinen Kratzer abbekommen..... :*(

In the afternoon, we made another trip with the canoe. First through the lagoon, but the water was extremely shallow, so we changed back to the sea again. But as the wind was getting strong so where the waves and the canoe was over-swapped by the breaking waves. We where not sure we could make it around the small Cap. So we had to carry the canoe through some bushes to reach the lake and return home along the lake. Unfortunately the beloved canoe get his first fissure in the process.

 

Wir blieben noch eine Nacht und wer hätte es gedacht, auch der 3. Tag begann wieder ganz relax mit einem guten Frühstück und etwas Sonne
We stayed another night and the 3th day on the golf started once again with a relaxed breakfast and sun.

 

Gegen Mittag entschieden wir uns dann mal wieder etwas weiter zu fahren...

Auf dem Weg finden wir noch eine Sehenswürdigkeit, die verfallene Stadt Nikopoli. Wir können zwar nicht hinein, aber die Stadtmauer nehmen wir noch in Augenschein.

On the afternoon, we moved on. On the way, we visited the ancient town of Nikopoli. Especially the city walls are worth mentioning.

Und fleissige Ameisen finden wir mit einer tollen Ameisenstrasse :)
And we also found a large ant highway system.

 Ein bisschen Offroad mussten wir auch fahren ;) ...
... aber unser Büsslein ist ja top!

There where 20 meters of sand, but our bus (and experienced driver :-* ) managed this without problems.

Nach einem veregneten Vormittag.....

.....heisst es dann weiter Richtung Halblinsel Lefkada.

 Dann ging es über eine Hilfsbrücke nach Lefkada
Then we crossed over an boat-bridge to Lefkada.

Leider schlug das Wetter um und es begann stark zu regnen.
Deshalb gönnen wir unserem Bus noch eine kleine Wäsche und fahren dann direkt zu unserem ausgewählten Platz für die Nacht....

Once more, the rain started, so we invited the bus to a shower before continuing to our chosen destination for the night.

  

Wieder mal ein wunderbarer Platz mit Aussicht!

Wir vergrochen und den Rest des Nachmittages in den Bus und hörten dem Regen plätschern zu :)
We spent the rest of the day and evening in the bus, listening to the rain on the roof.

Am nächsten Tag scheint zum Glück wieder die Sonne und wir fahren zum Wasserfall von Dimosari ganz in der Nähe. Erst dachten wir, ob das für uns Bergleute etwas ist, aber der Wasserfall hat uns doch begeistert! Vorallem das kurze ( Wasser a.. kalt ) Bad im kristallklaren Wasser!!!

The next day the sun was shining again and we visited the nearby waterfalls of Dimosari. We where a bit skeptical first, as we have a lot of great waterfalls at home, but ended up excited. Specially about the bath in the crystal clear but ice cold water in the pond below the waterfall.

Ja, und nun........

Nun sind wir schon fast seit zwei Wochen hier in Vassiliki ganz am Ende der Insel Lefkada im "Windsurf-Camp".

And now, we are almost 2 weeks in Vassiliki, and the south end of Lefkada, windsurfing.

 

 Wir haben ein nettes kleines Appartment gefunden fuer 25euro die Nacht, zwei süsse Haustiere und sind eigentlich den ganzen Tag im oder im besten Fall auf dem Wasser. Die erste Woche haben wir uns nur ein Brett zu zweit gemietet, 170Euro für die ganze Woche ist nicht schlecht. Vorallem weil wir uns abwechseln können. Dann wurde es uns etwas langweilig und wir beschlossen eine weitere Woche zu bleiben und für 220Euro noch zusätzlich einen Kurs zu besuchen. Der nette Besitzer hat uns die zweite Person Kurs mal kurz dazugeschenkt, so können wir beide teilnehmen, vieeeelleen Dannkkk :) :) :) !!

We rented a small, nice apartment, adopted two sweet cats and spend the whole day on (or also a lot in) the water. The first week, we rented one board for both of us for 170€, so we could surf and relax in turns. After the first week, we decided to stay a second week and took the option to hire with lessons for 220€. The nice owner only charged one of us for the lessons but both of us could join.

... und daneben gilt es die Alltagsdinge zu erledigen..
.. and we need to do the every day stuff too...

 

Nach einigen Plesuren gibt es zwei Ruhetage in den zwei Wochen :)
Because of tiredness hurtings there a two days off in this two weeks :)

   

 

Ja, und Anfragen kamen, dass es kein Lebenszeichen mehr von uns gibt.
Hier ist der Grund dafür. Wir sind von früh bis spät am Strand. Um 12Uhr und 15Uhr gibt es "Lessons" und danach heisst es jeweils üben üben. Um 18 Uhr machen wir uns auf Richtung zu Hause, kochen und fallen tot müde ins Bett. Der Körper schmerzt... Und um 7:15Uhr klingelt der Wecker und es heisst... WWIINNDDSUURRFFIIINNGGG :) :) :) :) !!! Die Kurse sind recht hart, sprich man lernt viel in wenig Zeit und meine Launen dementsprechend mal "ich liebe Windsurfen" bis hin "ich fahr nach Hause, kein Bock mehr!" ;)

And that's why we didn't communicate so much in the last two weeks. We where early at the beach, enjoy lessons at 12 and 15 o'clock and spent the rest of the time, training or jibs and tacks and heli tacks and planing. After 18 o'clock we enjoy an after surf beer at the beach before returning home, have dinner and fall exhausted to the bed. And the next morning at 7 the alarm goes of once again for another day at the beach. That's the hard surfers live ;-)
The lessons where quite advanced and had a lot of information in them, requiring us to master a lot of technique in a short time. Due this, my mood switches a lot from "I love windsurfing" to, "I wanna go back home".

 

                                         ... Aber ich hoffe am Ende wird alles gut !!!
                                                     ... und wir freuen uns wieder auf das Büssle, der auf uns wartet :)

But in the end hopefully, everything will turn out to be great and for sure we had a lot of Fun.....
