Quit your job and go traveling :)

 OK. I have an empty car and there should be room for a bed and a table. Moreover, there must be enough space for all the luggage .

OK. Ich habe ein leeres Auto und dort soll ein Bett und ein Tisch rein. Ausserdem muss genügend Platz für das ganze Gepäck vorhanden sein.



But how to start ?!
Wie startet man da ?!

The goal is to use as much as possible, which I already have. Since I have no experience in car - to - camper rebuilding , I do not want to spend much money endlessly to determine afterwards that everything does not work as I thought 😉 . Therefore had to be some creativity....

Das Ziel ist, soviel wie möglich zu verwenden, was ich bereits besitze. Da ich keinerlei Erfahrung in Auto-zu-Camper-Umbauen habe, möchte ich nicht unendlich viel Geld ausgeben, um hinterher festzustellen, dass alles doch nicht so funktioniert wie ich gedacht habe 😉.
Darum musste etwas Kreativität her.

Quick little poking around and have found my old child bed. That could still fit perfectly, or not ?
Schnell etwas herumgestöbert und schon mein altes Kinderbett gefunden. Das könnte doch perfekt passen, oder nicht ?!

After the motto "suck it and see" i just took the bed and put it in the car.
Da "probieren über studieren geht", hab ich einfach mal das Bett genommen und in das Auto gepackt:

Mit ein bisschen Verschönerung rundherum schaut die Sache eigentlich schon recht gut aus:

The bed itself is perfect because it is high enough to have enough stuff to stow underneath. But how can I now accommodate a table ?! The car is in principle full. Bed out , table in. The car is full again . And there are no luggage stowage possibilities .......😮

Das Bett an sich ist perfekt, weil es hoch genug ist um genügend Zeug darunter zu verstauen.
Aber wie kann ich denn jetzt einen Tisch unterbringen ?! Das Auto ist im Prinzip voll 😮.

Bett raus, Tisch rein. Das Auto ist wieder voll. Und Gepäck-Verstau-Möglichkeiten gibt es auch keine.......

    

Well, bed back and now the tinkering starts :). It must be possible to make the bed so that you can also make a sitting place .....  Plans created and lets go to the shop...

Na gut, Bett wieder rein und nun geht das gebastel los :).
Es muss doch möglich sein, das Bett so umzugestalten, dass man auch eine Sitzgruppe daraus machen kann.....

And then the measuring , sawing and hammering starts ... somehow it makes fun at all ... but costs soooo muucchhhh time !!!

Und dann geht das Messen, Sägen und Hämmern los... irgendwie macht das Ganze auch Spass... aber kostet soooviiiieeellll Zeit !!!

But the first result to be proud of! The bed can be converted to seating and sleeping bed .
The table can thereby easily slide back and forth .

Aber das erste Resultat kann sich sehen lassen !
Das Bett lässt sich umbauen zur Sitzgruppe und zum Schlafbett.
Den Tisch kann man dabei ganz einfach hin und her schieben.

Installed a simple Mobile phone holding system:
Noch eine einfach Handyhalterrung montiert: 

 

And the basic framework is  readddyy .....   /   Und das Grundgerüst steht.....

Equipped with angle and electric screwdriver, it goes through the mountain region of Appenzell. And now everything is really fixed in place :) .

Ausgerüstet mit Winkel und Akkuschrauber geht es nun durch das Appenzeller Land. Und jetzt ist wirklich alles fest am Platz :).
